Focus on the maths

Mathematical calculations form a huge part of the course and exam papers. It is vital that you are confident in rearranging and applying formulae to different scenarios. Go through different calculation types thoroughly!  

Learn your content

You will notice the common patterns of questions! There are lots of key details that the exam board expects you to be aware of. Be sure to spend adequate time consulting the mark scheme, which will help you to identify those points that will be accepted and rejected. Don’t neglect revising the experimental design questions!

Those students that are aware of the subtleties in the mark scheme will score much more highly than those that aren’t.

A formulae sheet will be provided for summer 2023 examinations. Don’t waste precious time learning anything that will be given to you anyway!
